Shalie was my heart dog. (She was a rescue from a breeder at 8 months of age as she was oversized.) At age 5, she was misdiagnosed and I was told that she could not compete again! Five years later, after watching her run and play with my Aussies, I had her checked out by 3 vets and...there were no degenerative discs and she was pronounced healthy!! At age 10, we started Utility which she loved. She earned two legs in AKC Utility and two legs in ASCA Utility and then her eyesight began to fail. She was always a joy to work with and we both enjoyed every minute of it.
